– “My dear! Why do you stay at home in the summer? You should take part in the Hello Summer season 2”. said Nguyen Duy An, the secretary of Long Xuyen 1 Quarter’s HCYU
– “Okay, for sure I will go!”. I eagerly answered
So this summer began again with Hello Summer 2023 season 2! Actually, at first when hearing that the team registered for the camp only had 10 members, I was also a little shocked because the other quarters all had above 15 participants. But after that day, I realized that quality is more important than quantity.
Starting a new day when I woke up at 4:30 am, which I never thought I could do since finishing my high school graduation exam. After that, we had to frantically search for piles, bamboo … to build up our tents. Arriving at the camping site, we discovered that there was no picture of Uncle Ho, ropes, one of the most important items for decorating the tent. Not only that, our team could only choose 4 people with the skills to set up a tent quickly in a time period of about 5-10 minutes. Although it was a bit difficult and was the last team to finish, I was still very happy because we built the tent by ourselves with real effort.
Coming to the camp, of course, we were no stranger to Semaphore or Morse. Under the scorching heat, we gathered together, finding out the answers. Intense spirit!
Next came the team building games. With a fairly modest number of only 10, we didn’t seem to have time to rest because Hello Summer this year always launched games with at least 10 people! Everywhere was the sound of screaming and laughing voices… After playing each game, we were all tired. However we never said yes to giving up!
Hello summer this year was even more special when it required the teams to cook our own dinner, we cooked mussel porridge by ourselves. Looking at the pot of mussel porridge makes me think of the pot of porridge that Tu treated Thi on the day of her daughter-in-law’s debut in the literary work “Vo nhat” by Kim Lan. However, after a full day of playing and working, we still had to eat it up because they were too hungry. What a fun day!!
At the end of the day, we had a chance to dance and sing together. It’s only Hello Summer that we all have tried hard like that, predicting the 2023 Town Camp will be even more explosive!
Be the twinkling stars,
